Jenny for short. My '22 SR5 Premium.

I'm a history guy and a car fanatic that cut his teeth on the wonderful beasts of the '80's. Since my very first car I have always named them and this one is no different.

Besotten Jenny was an M4A3E8 Sherman tank that fought in the battle of Castle Itter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Castle_Itter) it was one of the only battles in WWII where US and German Wehrmacht troops fought side by side. It is a featured song by the outstanding Swedish heavy metal group Sabaton. Oh: did I mention I am a Metalhead? A product of the '80's. How could I be anything else?

    On to my girl:

I ordered her on 4/18/22, received a call the following week that she was built and on a ship waiting to undertake the voyage to the US. May 25th she arrived at the Port in NY and sat there until she was delivered on 7/9/22 and I stumbled upon her on the way to work on 7/12/22. I dealt with the owner and he was on vacation so nobody notified me that she was in. I ordered the emblem black out kit and all weather mats and cargo liner.

As I found her off the truck.

I had the dealership paint the stock SR5P wheels with a color match to the TRD wheels. i was surprised and very happy with how well they came out.

Picked her up and everything looked great. I forgot to take a picture of the speedometer until I started driving down the road. She only had 2 miles on her when I took her off the lot.

A few quick and easy mods last weekend. AVS Vent Shields, an AVS hood deflector and Toyota Trail running boards. I also added a ProClip USA phone holder, glass screen protector and console tray.

Building a deck on the house and then it needs siding. Once that is done there should be funds available for Jenny.

More to come as money allows.

    See ya,

How much did the dealer charge to paint your wheels?

There is a company that goes around with a full paint set up in a trailer. He charges $100/wheel to the dealership. They charged me their price plus sales tax so I ended up playing $424 for them. He paints for all of the dealerships in the region so he came with great recommendations.

Please don't get me wrong. Your 4R looks beautiful.:101010:

But me personally would try to sell stock SR5 wheels + stock tires and buy TRD Pro take off wheels + good looking A/T tires new for that look.

In future members here will give more suggestions and you can decide what is best for you.

Thank you; I really do love driving it!

I had ordered TRD Pro wheels then I decided to go with composite decking instead of pressure treated so I decided to go with the painting of the stock SR5 wheels until my first set of aftermarket tires. By then I will hopefully have the house renovations finished and have a more money to play with.
