Bad bad gas mileage???

    Trying to solve my bad gas mileage… recently it has been terrible. I filled up today again after going just 25 miles and it took 3.9 gallons. 6mpg… smh! My scanguage tends to be accurate which I was hoping it was wrong today.. anyways, I have Cali emissions and I’ve done A/F sensor and o2 with Denso. Cleaned maf it looks good. Air filter is good. BUT it has thrown p0420 since I bought it and I haven’t worried about it. It runs like a champ idles well, has plenty power, doesn’t smell either. Fixed some exhaust leaks tonight. Any ideas? Before I have to spend a fortune on new cats? Anything helps! Thanks!

    Needs all its vitals checked
    I'm guessing you may also be dumping fuel in your crankcase.
    Had a issue with a chevy years ago, ended up getting a lot of fuel in the oil, fuel trims were all messed up. Can remember exactly if it was fuel pump or possible mass air flow sensor.
