AVS Aeroskin lighted hood protector

Any 4R members have this installed?

Do you like it?

Is it a quality made piece?

Are there any other brands who make a lighted hood protector/bug deflector?

I have the AVS Bugflector 2 and the AVS Low Profile vent visors. I can't speak for the the Aeroskin in particular, but the AVS products I have are holding very strong.
The Bugflector seems to protect my hood from rock chips and bug guts very well.

 

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure that I want to put the Aeroskin on my hood paint, because if I don't like it, the paint will probably be ruined after removal.

 

You could always do a clear bra.
Then aeroskin on top of that if you want the look.

I don't think it will "ruin" your paint but it may require some detailing work to remove the adhesive without damaging the clear coat.
I would recommend a caramel wheel to remove adhesive. A quick buff/ polish should remove any light scratches this creates.
This beats using chemicals to remove adhesive imo.

If you want protection from rock chips and bug guts I'd go with the bugflector. It bolts into existing holes under the hood and does not risk damaging paint. Better than Toyota's OEM option.
