    Does anybody know if it’s possible to purchase an after-market remote start kit for a ‘17 SR5? Does such a thing even exist?

    Definitely. I just installed the accessorides aftermarket kit for my 2021 Venture. You can install this one for an SR5 if you have a keyed ignition:
