    Good evening everyone,

My wife has a ‘23 ORP. I’ve searched multiple threads and forums and asked local Toyota techs. If I purchased a BCM for a ‘23 Pro, will it give auto headlights (already have the dash photocell installed) and give the remote start option? With the holiday sales I can get one for about $430.
Also, is this the right part #? 89220-35671. Does it need to be programmed with the fobs?

Just trying to make my wife happy.

    Thank you in advance.

    -Mike

    Oooh look, another mod.....

She could also leave the headlights in the "on" position all the time. They turn off automatically when you lock the doors using the key fob. That's what I do.

That’s what she currently does, but she also wants remote start. Don’t mind spending the extra money if it will do both. If the BCM won’t, I’ll just buy a remote start kit.

I'm not sure it will. There have been several people on this site who have tried it, but nobody ever reported back saying they got it to work. Getting the remote start kit is the way to go, because the app stops working eventually and pressing the unlock (or is it lock?) on the fob has a distance limitation.

One guy claimed he got auto lights going but never posted how. I don’t think it’s reasonably possible. Just get an aftermarket remote start and deal with manual lights.

Likely need a new head unit along with BCM and potentially a new IPC for OEM remote start. If you get a Pro/Limited head unit, you’d also need a JBL amp. Just get an aftermarket remote start. The Toyota one suck anyway

It's gonna be the whole system to be replaced for factory remote start. Bcm, headunit, and even some wiring i think. I think some pin outs are missing completely. I could be wrong.

Easiest just to get after market remote start that allows you to use your factory fob like n2d or accessorides. Amd just drive with the headlights on and buy the light sensor for the dash on Amazon.
