    Hello All,

I have a roof rack for a 5th gen but I've lost two of the mounting brackets after removing the rack to work on some paint damage.

Incredibly, the folks at Victory cannot help, because the "don't sell the mounting brackets separately". I guess that's good for revenue and profits if I have to buy an entire new roof rack just to get a couple small pieces of steel, but I digress.

If anyone has one of these racks and can send me some approximate dimensions and/or a photo of one next to a ruler, I'd be happy to throw a little cash your way for the help.

The brackets I need are indicated by the red arrow attached / below:

Thanks in advance for any / all assistance.

You actually reached out to Victory? I'm surprised they aren't willing to sell you those pieces; in my experience they have fantastic CS.

That was my first move. The bold text in quotes in my original post is exactly what they said.

I can see why they wouldn't sell just the mounting brackets to someone just wanting those alone, but it's incredible they won't provide those for someone who's already ponied up the $$ for an entire rack. Those racks are not inexpensive.

Mark Victory off the list of customer friendly manufacturers.

Totally agree with Gary. Victory makes so much stuff you would think they could afford to buy/make/stock the small parts for cases like the OP has. CS service goes a long way in getting / keeping customers.

That is odd. They could have marked up the brackets 500% (higher margins than the rack) and made a nice profit on replacement parts. Why can't they be good American capitalists like every other company?

Tried making your own through Sendcutsend?

Is that the middle mount? Let me dig the parts for my rack, its currently sitting in a pile in the corner.

If you’re the original purchaser that sucks.

Dunno I guess. I have several V4x4 items and even went to their shop in Michigan to pick up a bumper; they gave me free swag and a tour and were just generally awesome. Sorry they weren't for you.

I found a VP and co-founder of Victory on LinkedIn. Sent him a note there, and I think I properly guessed his email address after four attempts. I asked for an engineering drawing of the bracket so I could try something like sendcutsend. We'll see if he responds.

Keep me posted. I'd gladly pay to even borrow one of yours, including shipping both ways.

You could always just use CAD (cardboard-aided design)

    CS?

Victory guaranteed my parts would fit.

    They didn't.

Victory made me pay to send them back.

And the high school intern I had to deal w/ was a real @#&*

I started to look for them, only see the back and front mounts weirdly before having to leave out of town. I get back next week and will keep looking for you.
