I saw another 5th gen without pin stripes and as I bought mine used, do they come with pin stripes from the factory / added by dealer?

    Mine is a 2022 OR.

    Thanks.

They're well done, don't get me wrong, I'm just have plain tastes and want to keep it looking factory more or less. I'm guessing pin stripes haven't changed much over time and a heat gun applied sparingly will still work?

I prefer using a hair dryer over my heat gun. It’s a little slower but safer.

I used WD-40 for pinstripes, unwanted dealer decals, etc....

That's a good thing, as my heat gun caught on fire. Thanks, Harbor Freight.

I had no idea WD-40 could do that. Just spray it on, let it set and wipe? It can't harm the clear coat / paint?

Spray it on, let it sit for a minute, then peel up with a fingernail or razorblade. WD-40 is water based, so no damage to the paint.

A razor blade? That sounds like a terrible idea. For glass or bare metal, sure, but the clear coat?

You're not digging into it. Just enough to get under the item to be pulled up. Why I also stated a fingernail for those not faint of heart. :)

Sorry y'all, I forgot that I live in Texas. On my lunch break I just... Peeled them all off without using anything. I guess I'll get the adhesive residue off another day, ha! Thank y'all.

lol. Just dont let the adhesive bake on or it will be harder to remove. You'll need one of those little eraser wheels. Otherwise goo-gone should work for the adhesive.

WD-40 is not water based at all. It’s an oil, with some solvent qualities. You might be thinking “water displacement” which is what the story says WD stands for in WD-40.

Just an FYI for future use, I would never use a metal razor blade on a painted surface, one little slip and there's no turning back or re-dos, they do make plastic razor blades for painted surfaces and finished surfaces as in polished metals.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
This guy actually used a heat gun from Harbor Freight and expected anything less than :nuclear:
