Apple CarPlay upgrade available

Does anyone have a 2018 and able to upgrade to the AppleCarPlay software suite? I'm still under warranty and would love to pay the dealership to do this before my warranty is up. I just had an oil change and my SA didn't mention it and I forgot to ask. I didn't see anything in the prior forums anywhere on here. My last oil change about 4mo ago they said it wasn't available. Anyone know?

 

I don’t think we’re going to see that update with our vintage radio.

 

I believe it's Entune 3 that is upgradable to Apple CarPlay.

We have Entune 2 in our 2018's.

 

This is correct. There is no "update" for older models to add CarPlay. 3rd Party radio or trade in for a 2020, those are your options.

There are YouTube videos out there of the above link. The link is the carplay module, not the “mirroring” module.

 

I dont think you are missing out on much. I personally cant stand my apple Car Play. I dont need texts popping up on my screen while I drive. It also doesnt look very clean.
