Anyone try out the Vredestein Pinza AT tires?

Tire Rack seems to like them but there's not much info on them. Tire Rack said the 265/70-17 weighs 40lbs but no info on the diameter. The Vredestein website doesn't give that info either. Wonder if I should take a chance on them or just stick to something like the Yokohama 015 or Cooper AT3 4S?

Just looking at the tread pattern, it looks like a good all around AT. Looks a little similar to the Cooper you mentioned.

Diameter should be similar to any other 265/70/17.

 

No experience with them on our trucks but I did have them on my e46 back in the days. They rode fine, not much road noise. I only got rid of them due to them being more of a squared side wall (if that makes any sense). Since my e46 was lowered, I needed something more curved to clear the fenders. But overall they’re decent. Try them and report back.

 

Check the mileage warranty on those before you buy them. They are more expensive than the Coopers with 55k warranty and cheaper than some other known-to-be-good tires with 45k+ mileage warranties by only a negligible amount. I am unfamiliar with this brand, can’t say much about them specifically, but I have had one experience with an off brand tire and it was not positive. The concern should be if the tires will still perform like new when they have 20k, 30k, 40k miles on them. It sucks replacing some pretty expensive off brand tires that still have a lot of tread on them but became absolutely unsafe on anything but dry roads or dirt after 23-25k miles.

 

Thanks guys. I've never heard of them either but it doesn't look like an off brand. Seem like they just got into the AT market with this tire. I think I might order them when the wheels I want come back in stock supposedly at the end of this month.

Vredestein has been around for a very long time, but recently started to offer products in the NA market. i've had their hypertrac in my previous vehicle and they were pretty competitive given the price point.

it's $20-40 cheaper than most options out there so not a bad deal at all. i'd be more interested to see how they perform after 20-30k miles.

 

I ran Vredestein race tires on my triathlon bike for Ironman Louisville and they were great… so that almost matters to the topic lol

 

I'd like to try them on my tundra, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Tirerack is apparently on back order right now. Any suggestions?

I had these on my f-150 for a short time before I got rid of the truck. Previous tires were Hancook dynapro AT that were getting really bad in wet weather.

I put around 1500 miles on them. Dry traction was better, had a quiet comfortable ride. I was happy with them.
I will be getting the vredestien’s again when I need tires.
