Hi everyone. I was just going over the one and only time I did (or will) get service at the dealer, and this part number "00279-0W201-01 GTMO 0W20 BK SN WTY" is listed for the oil. Umm, thats different from what I got from everyone here and when I google it comes back to Lexus bulk oil. Please someone tell me this is just an abbreviation that they used but the right oil was used. Please and thank you.

Edit: Reading other forums (and a post from this one, that I posted in lol) no one seems to sure. Some saying its just bulk oil (but the cheap price, and it being available to buy at said cheaper price make that seem unlikely) but no real concrete answers. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks. When I searched it shows Toyota and Lexus part. It has a low price of $3.40. Is that the right oil? Odd that is available to buy (it appears) but it doesn't share the same part number as what we know to be the OEM motor oil.

Thank you! I don't get why its available to buy for cheaper. Odd!

Thanks! Is that your oil of choice? Its available to buy, and cheaper than the more commonly sought OEM 0W-20 for some reason.

I just came into possession of a large quantity for next to nothing so I decided to stock up.

Contrary to Internet legends, putting ridiculously expensive performance synthetic oil in your GR engine is no better than using the Toyota synthetic stuff.

I can buy Toyota oil at $3.50 qt from the Toyota dealer. Much cheaper than anywhere else just like oil filters.

I need to start to considering OE toyota oil. Usually grab mobil 1 and filter, and it ends up costing too much. Never really thought oe oil would be cheaper.

    What? 0W-20 synthetic?
Which Bay Area dealer is that?

It looks like online its about $6 per. Local dealer was $8 last time I checked. You got a good deal going there.
