Any use trying to sell your stock suspension?

I swapped out the shocks, springs, and UCA's in my 16 Trail a few weeks ago and now it's just taking up space in the garage. Is there any use trying to sell it? To the best of my knowledge, it's no better than the suspension in the SR5's, and it doesn't have any of the Fox stuff that later models did.

 

Usually there’s a few people looking for stock components either to replace or return their rig back to stock. Doesn’t hurt throwing them up on Craigslist for a quick buck.

 

I have a buddy looking for some take offs.. the cheaper the better. What are you asking for 'em and how many miles, what's included? I can pass along the info..

 

Location is the most important factor in selling suspension components due to the low sale valve vs high shipping costs.

 

Off a 2016 Trail Premium. About 45k on them. Front and rear shocks and springs as well as the stock UCA's. The fronts do not include the stock spring retainer thingy on the top, I had to reuse it for my Eibachs. Located just north of Austin, TX. I'm open to whatever is a fair offer, I just need them out of my garage.

 

Keep the shocks for when you blow your replacements.

Have your ever thought about getting into blacksmith work? Melt those springs down and mix in some other metals and make a nice Damascus steel knife. You can sell the knives (if you do good work) and make more than you would on the suspension.

 

thank you, I’ll pass the info along. There’s a fella that’s local giving away his 2020 suspensions (fronts, rears, rear springs and UCA) for free. Waiting on his reply so we’ll see.

 

I couldn’t even get rid of my low mile stock springs for free lol. Threw them away

 

That's my fear as well. I'll put mine up for sale to see if I get any bites, if not then I'll probably just give them away to a local or chuck them.

 

I have all the stock stuff in the garage. I’ve had to return to stock before. It’s also more hassle to sale them than to keep them lol.

 

I recycled mine at the dump after no one wanted it.

 

I'm in SoCal, if anyone has stock 5th gens suspensions they like to give, my buddy needs them. TIA
