Any NEW 4Runners Bumpers coming to market?

Hey all,

Been searching and waiting for new styles of full front and rear bumpers to come to market for 6 months now... but I can't see to find anything.

I was full throttle ready to get the Proline R1 Front and Rear Bumpers along with their Roof Rack but after researching the company, their pretty much a joke. All kinds of pissed customers, people never receiving products, zero customer service. So that killed it for me.

Then was thinking about Metal Tech, again full blown front and rear bumpers. Well you can't buy the rear bumper as their in the design phase. They told me last November they would have it complete and ready for sale in early Jan. Well that didn't happen. And as of a few days ago I contact them about it and apparently is still in the design phase and no idea of when it will be ready. Wow, okay that kills that.

So, anyone have any idea on any other companies other then in the link above that have full front and rear bumpers? Any new ones coming to market that anyone knows about?

Talked to a few places about having custom one's made but they have to take the truck for sooo long and pricing is so high that it's not feasible.

May be another one or two I'm forgetting...

I would imagine we will see some development because the newer 4Runner's have the TSS sensor in the bumper. Most, if not all, aftermarket bumpers do not account for this.. yet at least. I imagine lots of guys that go through the trouble to completely replace their bumpers will simply disable and ditch the TSS system though, so maybe redesigned bumpers will not be a thing.

 

Nguyen works is coming out with a 5th gen rear bumper that looks pretty good.

Demello bumpers are sweet and they have a rear bumper option coming soon if it’s not already available.

 

I bought lil b’s custom fab front bumper for my 2020 4Runner with TSS and they already make those items to account for the TSS. I will share pictures when I get it. They are supposed to ship it next week. Here is the one I bought:

Hope Demello does so I can match my front bumper. Wife is going Shrockworks for the front and probably the same for the rear or the new Nguyen rear.

Saw pictures of their 5th Gen bumper on their site. It’s different and I dig it. They’re local too which is a huge plus not having to deal with shipping costs.

 

They also do installs I believe. Really interested in them for my wife's 4runner.

 

Dissent Off-road is doing some cool stuff. This low profile rear bumper looks great. Though it looks like they are not in production (if or when?).

Looks like all of these you have to cut the front and rear bumpers as none of them are full size like the Proline or Metal Tech units. I watched a view of the guys just cutting the bumpers with a grinder then slapping the new bumpers on. Is no one sealing the paint edges? I can see that paint chipping and peeling in a short amount of time.

It's just plastic. If you're cutting up your bumper to add a plate or tube bumper, you're planning on messing up your paint anyway.

I don’t see the 5th Gen is up yet. It appears they might be working on designs.I was looking at this website yesterday.

 

So far top of the list for me are Hefty Fab Works, C4, Addicted Offroad and BAMF is reportedly in the design phase for 5th gen runner bumpers. I had BAMF sliders, skid trilogy, bedrack rack and bed molle panels on my Tacoma and have already ordered BAMF sliders for the runner - needless to say a BAMF fan and I'm interested in seeing what Jerry comes up with for the runner.

 

One of my favorite front bumpers for the Tacoma was the one pictured in my avatar - At The Helm fabrication. I had reached out to Morgan to see if he was thinking of doing a T4R bumper and he didn't have anything in the works at the time but would without question get another bumper from him if he did a 4Runner version.

 

I was told it will be on the site in a few weeks. That was a week or two ago.

They have pictures on their Instagram. I have talked to them about having dual jerry cans and 35s mounted and they said it won't be any issues.

 

Morgan makes beautiful stuff! I'd buy and make the drive to him if he ever made 5th gen 4Runner rear bumper with a swing out.

 

Me too! Quality design, fantastic construction, **beautiful welds** - Morgan's stuff is top shelf! On a side note, I really respect the dude for how he conducts business. Unlike 99% of the other fabricators that want 100% $$ up front and then you wait 10-18 weeks for fabrication, Morgan asked for a minor non-refundable deposit, then sent me an invoice for the balance 2 weeks AHEAD of the projected lead time estimate and I think I had that bumper delivered to my door in 5 weeks from time of initial deposit. Dude is awesome.

If you piece out the swing out parts on your own it would be pretty cheap way to get a nice bumper fast.
