    I was checking over everything on the truck today while waiting for the oil to drain and I noticed this on my front shocks. The passenger side has some oil residue on the actual rod but BOTH sides are a little damp on top of the actual body, although the passenger side is definitely a little gunky too. Also, I can easily spin the "cap" on the top of the shock body with my fingertip and I can even lift it up a little bit. I feel like this shouldn't be happening, can someone confirm this?

    System is Eibach Pro Truck Kit (Stage 1) and was installed about 4 years and 45k miles ago. I know I'm coming up on that time to replace the shocks anyway, but now I'm thinking I should do it sooner rather than later...

    Good to know. Agreed! I've been eyeing Dobinsons MRR for a long time, but haven't had a real reason to pull the trigger yet

    My Eibach shocks looked the same with 15k miles on them. Very disappointed to say the least. Definitely going with something different when I replace them.

    If you are happy with the ride I’d say run them until you notice a decrease in performance, then upgrade!

    Same same with Eibachs Stage 1 / Pro Truck here, I replaced the rear set on my 4Runner last year and the driver's side was blown with oil on everything. Passenger side was still ok. Front Bilsteins also good. 40,000 miles on all of them. I wasn't exactly mad but I was hoping for more life.

    Those Eibachs have a million mile warranty. Send Eibach a picture and see what they say......unless you just want to move onto something else.

    Mine have been good for over 100k now.
