I've had the pro series on my 2020 4runner for a little over a year now. Just recently though I've noticed that my DRLs no longer function on ignition like they used to. They currently only flip on only if I turn on my Break Light Switch and Headlights. I tried to trouble shoot myself and swapped out all the fuses on your supplied harness but that did not resolve the issue. My headlights function normal without issue but I'm at a loss on how to get my DRLs back functioning properly. I'm looking for any advice on how to troubleshoot this.

I've emailed alpharex as well but was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

Is your parking brake on when you are looking at them? I’m assuming you used a fuse tap to trigger them? What fuse are you using?

No, my parking break is not engaged when evaluating them.

I'm using the fuse tap supplied by Alpharex into the 10A inj fuse which has worked flawlessly up until recently.

I'm guessing it's something in the DRL wiring harness that's faulty? The vehicle has no issues with starting up which leads me to believe that the fuse and fuse tap are fine.

Like I said in the original post, I replaced all the fuses on the DRL fuse tap and wiring harness just in case with no effect. I'm not completely sure though because my experience with wiring/cars in general is limited.

    Thanks for your response.

The DRL strip has a high and a low side as well as a ground wire. The high side is connected to the DRL harness while the low side is connected to the low beams. We can rule out the actual strip as the problem since it lights up when the low beams are on. So you would be correct that there is an issue with the DRL harness. If you have a multimeter, you could see if power is making it all the way through the fuse tap wire to the headlight. I would guess that if you contact Alpharex, they’ll send a new fuse tap/DRL harness hoping that’ll fix it. If it doesn’t, it’s an internal problem. I know Alpharex isn’t the best company when it comes to QC, but I doubt two headlights would have the same failure in the same way at the same time
