Is this an electrical issues, key fob issue, actuator issue...or none of the above?

    2 sporadic issues with my 02' SR5.

    1. the door locks (mainly driver's side door) will not lock...or will partially lock when using key fob...but sometimes works fine.
    2. I've had moments where the locks will unlock/lock without engaging the key fob.
    3. The alarm (horn) has done random things this week. the horn honked 4 short honks (several times the past couple of weeks), the alarm went off for no reason.

anyone else seen stuff like this?

    Maybe more than 1 issue.

The actuator's have been known to go bad. It makes programming new keys a PITA as you have to lock/unlock the doors during the sequence and if they don't actuate all the way, it fails.

I would try replacing the driver's door actuator and go from there.

Thanks. Any supplier recommendations? I haven't been able to find one locally.

I always go with TOYOTA if at all possible. Parts last 20 years.
