Installed the new cat back. Bumper melted a bit from heat. Never experienced this. Leave? Or adjust a part?

My suggestion is get that silly looking thing off of there.

but seriously, other use a dremel or jigsaw and cut a the melted part off and leave some space, add heat shield.

or have exhaust shop make it a side exit

Well, I see it differently, I think you have now an excuse to get a nice bumper! C4 Fab or Victory 4X4 is what I have been eyeing forever but don't have the $$.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Dude, the thing's supposed to hang there, not press up against the bumper. What did you do? It's no wonder it melted the bumper. It gets hot. It's what it does. Have you ever stuck a thermometer to your tailpipe? It's friggin' hot. That exhaust tip melted the bumper upwards by like a quarter inch if not more. You effed it good.

Yeah, that thing should sit lower. As mentioned. Your situation now is to save for new bumper /cover. Or cut it out. You could re route it out the side, but you'll still have the melted part.

Let’s just say, it was a little hiccup. Can’t fix no common sense. It’s much larger in diameter the pipes so had a hassle to make it secure

Now I’ll pass inspection. Stock OEM pipes were an oldie but a goodie.
