After market fender splash shields

2023 TRD Off Road Premium

With the spray of winter salt around the corner, I was looking for better engine bay protection and considering these:

My only concern is, it may prevent proper engine heat dispersion as the wheel wells are where I feel the majority of the heat escaping. I assume the engineers designed it that way for a reason, otherwise it would be better protected. Has anyone had experience with the aftermarket splash guards and any noticeable pros or cons?
