2004 4.7ltr v8 4runner limited

I installed a boss audio HU with crutchfeild harness and crux module. Problem is, the sound is like its primarily out of center dash and barely out of doors. Not sure if i set tge crux module wrong or what but sounds worse than stock. Almost empty if that makes sence. Any ideas?
