Just asking if there would be any noticeable gains whatsoever by putting on a 76mm AFE throttle body vs the OEM stock 70mm throttle body?

If there was, wouldn’t the Toyota engineers have thought of it?

Maybe if you had a supercharger.

Short answer is yes. The longer more accurate answer is there would likely be very small gains that probably would not be noticeable. AFE states some users will notice increased idle rpm for as much as 800 miles while the ECU learns to properly control the idle. Translation....this throttle body allows more air making the fuel/air mixture leaner until the ECU compensates. Additionally, AFE also states performance gains will be more noticeable as more upgrades are added. Translation.....you won't notice any gains by simply adding this throttle body.

IMO, the simplest way to affordably increase noticeable performance is with a good tune like those offered by OTT.

I didn't realize they even sold a larger aftermarket throttle body. Now I'm curious.

I only see spacers available from AFE for Runners anyway. Those do absolutely nothing.

A tune on a naturally aspirated motor won't do much.

How often do you do full-throttle launches with the pedal pinned to the floor? By definition that's when a larger throttle body will have an effect.
