A/T oil temp light

    95 4runner 4x4
    My 95 4runner still has its 3.0 in it and it over heated really and the a/t oil temp light came on. Now I let it idle for about 20 mins and my oil temp and water temp didnt move at all. do you guys think it is the temp sensor or the oil sending unit that I should look at or both. Cause I was on the side of the highway for 2 hours and I want to figure what to replace so it wont happen again. Also it wouldnt start until today when I got home from work that was a complete 14 hours
