98 4 runner no start only clicking not the starter

    The new starter relay was coming loose on the bottom connector wire where it plugs in. We added a small addition wire to complete the connection. It fits tight and has been working for 2 days. I could tap the relay and the car would die. No crank just small click. Put the additional wire in the connection slot. The relay held very tight. Even tapped it to see if it would fail. It did not and works great. 322k 98 4runner 3.4l six cylinder.

    This the 4th Gen section. 1996-2002 was the 3rd Gen so try reposting there for better results. Hope you get it worked out.
