I bought this 4Runner a few months back and the seller stated that the vehicle was “running rough”. I bought it thought it might’ve been a faulty or clogged throttle body but after changing that the vehicle no longer has enough power to shift into 2nd or 3rd without the rpm going too high. I tweaked the throttle body screw a bit to see if anything would change but I’ve got the same results or it just stalling on me.
Has anyone on here experienced this problem?

    Nope.
did you do a compression check, did you check the condition of the spark plugs, If these engines are prone to blowing head gaskets, is it running rough because of coolant in the cylinder causing the plugs to not fire.
Hope to see you on the trail.
