94 trouble starting

I picked up a 94, 3.0 VZ SR5 model for my 15 yr old daughter. I have replaced the ac system, timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, distributer cap, button, and coil pack, along with a few other things....
I have a starting issue, the engine tries to start, but then dies out. I have checked the spark and still seem to have an orange spark. I checked the fuses and no problems there. I can smell gas at the tail pipe, any recommendations?

 

did this happen only right after timing belt replacement?
did you double check that the wires are on the right plug?
are the cam/crank sensors plugged in?
any engine codes?
if it ran fine at first I would double check the wires then put a timing light on it,
to see if the timing belt was off.
if it did not run, leak down test/compression test.
go from there

 

oh, I would also do a vacuum test on it.
vacuum tests are vary helpful and often forgotten .
