93 manual 4Runner stuck in 4L

Hello. I have a 1993 manual 4Runner 3.0 cyl. I tried to put the car in 4wd and the shifter didn’t seem like it was locking into 4wd so I was playing around with the other gears and put it into neutral then up into 4L and back to neutral, then the shifter wouldn’t move to the left at all so I wasn’t even able to put it back in 2wd either. then the shifter would not move from 4L. I can’t get it to go out of 4L at all. I tried my foot on the clutch and on the break and being in neutral and even trying to put it in reverse, but nothing works. It’s just stuck. Does anybody know how I can fix this?
