Struggling to locate an EGR Valve for my 88', 3.0L 4Runner. Am I going to have to run an EGR delete? If so, What can I expect?
    Thank you in advance...

I just plugged off my EGR years ago...I was getting an inconsistent miss on flat roads that irritated the crap out of me...so I just put a plug in the vacuum lead to my nice $89.00 new EGR that is currently just looking nice but my 1985 4 Runner doesn't skip a beat any more...weird!!!

Installed an EGR Delete kit from Yotashop the night before last. Much smoother and more powerful but not quite there. Still a little rough at idle so I'm hunting another vacuum leak... I hope!

Check the vacuum lines that go to the thermal vacuum valve to the evap canister. Many times that is broken because it’s plastic. it’s the blue one with two nipples on the left of that picture. One vacuum line goes to the evap canister, the other to the back side of the throttle body. Throttle body side is where you will be loosing vacuum.

Good stuff! I'll apologize in advance... where is the Evap Canister located?

Open the hood and look to the back left of the engine compartment. It’s black about the size of a soup can mounted on the firewall.
