This is the first i have heard of them, sounds like a badass set up though if you have $20,000 + laying around.

I am working on getting a set to test on my Bronco from another brand.... There is very limited information on portals, but I think they might become the new hot thing

Portals have a large upfront cost... but you essentially only need the portals, and new tires.

With a lift you need to do a Lift kit, larger tires, then re gear for larger tires, and all the other things I am probably missing from there.

This is of course a 30,000 foot view.

Too many mods and too much money
With a big enough tire and the added weight of Portals, a steering upgrade becomes a consideration. IIRC, TWC Racing has blown two LC 200 steering racks in racing/testing conditions. But if you have the money for Portals.....
Link has pics of the Portals. 346088060_233731429273221_3462194019135574962_n.jpg

Portals are radical, but not a substitute for good suspension. Ground clearance and gearing they offer are really cool and reduce the stress on the axles quite a bit. If these start to become popular enough, the pricing will come down and maybe make it a reasonable upgrade for some.

Ouch. Definitely not something for my daily driver. But man, for my hypothetical (and dream), supercharged race truck.

You can look at Stellar Builts Instagram account. They have been doing a lot of these over the last month.

These are pretty awesome. But when you think of, engine oil change, two diffs, a transfer case, and then add 4 portal oil changes on top….sheesh yeah, not a daily driver lol

They've done one Tacoma. Was for an expo show truck, they partnered with 74Weld.

I would if there was more of a daily driver option perhaps with something like 10k+ mile oil changes.
