5th gen wireless AndroidAuto - how to override factory nav

I have a '23 w nav. I also have the carlinkit 5.0 wireless AndroidAuto adapter.

I had this same adapter in my '20 Tundra and it brought AndroidAuto up automatically when I turned on the car (I like WAZE up for nav). Now on the 4runner, I have to select AndroidAuto from the menu. Is there a way to default to AndroidAuto WAZE instead of the factory nav?
