That being said, that 2019 pro is a POs compared to newer models. No car play, terrible tech. All you get is worn suspension, terrible exhaust, and a so-so roof rack.

 

I paid 32 for a 2018 TRD OR MGM with 93k miles. Nearly perfect shape. Dealer maintained where it was bought new every 5k. It wasn’t a great deal but according to kbb it was a good deal. Not great lol

already put a 2” front spacer on it.

 

we bought our new 2024 SR5 for $62,000 Canadian pesos, including taxes all in.

A used 2023 with 18,600 miles was on lot at $70,336 all in.

Must be the color. For those willing to drive a bit, or fly, I doubt prices are high. Certainly not as high as in recent past years.

 

Try to be less dramatic and include the fact that it’s $45,706 USD which is amazing price for OTD SR5 especially a Canadian version. You must have auto headlight function.

 

2019 is the sweet spot for 5th gen, and i would pay more for one. But 51k is over the top.

 

Current prices might look downright reasonable compared to when the remaining new supply drys up. Delayed availability of 2025’s will stoke the fire.

Used or new, your best deals are probably right now. Preferably post-CarPlay/LED

 

That’s what it takes for something to be a POS? First on your list is car play.. I’ll take my 2019 ORP that I paid 38,500 for.

 

Pro bros are definitely not worth it.

I think they'll hold strong as others have mentioned. Test drove the new Land Cruiser. I am not sure where all of the comments are coming from about that motor being smooth. I tried all modes of drivability, and it was everything but smooth. Also, I felt build quality was lacking compared to my 5th gen. I just do not see any upgrade in the future for the $ that the 5th gen offers. Funny note on my way to test drive, salesman asked if I would be trading. I said maybe my TRD PRO 4Runner. He said, "Oh, we would love to have that, that will sell very fast." Good sign for us 5th gen owners.

 

To be fair, he wants to sell you the car which means he wants you to trade in your vehicle. I feel like he would say that exact same thing for any other vehicle to trade.

 

I’ve traded 30-40 cars in the last 10 years, yes I have a problem. I have only heard this one other time on my 991.2 GT3.

 

I stand corrected. I thought dealers will say anything to sway you to "make the deal", that comes from my limited experience with dealerships. Clearly you have more datapoints than I do.

 

Well from other threads on here. They stopped production of the 5th gen, and the 6th gen is on hold.

I stopped by the dealer to pick up wiper blade inserts and the sales manager offered me $39000(20 sr5p with mods and 75k miles). He said there's tons of people that want 4runners but none are on the lot.

It’s a used vehicle with many miles, lacking many of the useful feature in the newer MYs - CarPlay, LED lights, and MTM camera system. The other main reason you get a pro for is the suspension, which is a wear n tear component. This pro has 38k miles already.

so ultimately, what’s the point of paying $51000 w/ 38k on the odo? Heritage grill? Roof rack? Fomo because this is the only pro in your local area?

you pay $7000 (14%) more for a brand new 2024 pro. So yes this 2019 at $51k is a POS

 

That's a prettty good price for a 4-5 y.o. vehicle!

 

I'm in self rehab, lol. Started in high school swapping dirtbikes and atvs. The thrill and rush of the trade to move to the next one, trying to get a better deal while sampling another flavor. I then moved to cars when I got a career and started to make good money. I moved up in the value of cars, eventually came a couple big losses, so playing it more "safe" now. I have also sampled so many, I may have found what I like in a comfortable price bracket. (Type R, 4Runner, Wrangler)

 

I did the same thing with redheads, blondes and brunettes.

 

$36k for a '21 TRD ORP KDSS w/sunroof. 46K miles. In like new condition.

Wait until the prices are released for the 6th gen’s. Expect a bump in asking price for the 5th’s as they will now look cheap.
