My touch screen has the maintenance settings (APP) available for interactive input. However the maintenance manual tells me to do it a different way, set mileage trip setting to 'A', turn vehicle off, then turn back on while depressing display button on steering wheel until trip 'A' setting resets to 0000 which I've tried and it didn't work. The touch screen allowed me to set date and mileage for next oil, filter change along with various other items for maintenance reminders. So Did I not perform the book procedure correct or has that been superseded with the touch screen methods? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I'm not familiar with the touch screen method but I successfully reset my maintenance reminder by following page 345? Of the owners manual. 2018 SR5.

I reset my 5th gen by depressing the stem which allows you to go from trip A-B or odometer, while ignition is in OFF.. while depressing stem turn ON ignition,.you should see display reset. Maintenance due display should be gone...

The stem I refer to is in lower right side of my instrument cluster, comes through clear covering. I never had to reset A trip to do it

There are a few that sometimes refer to me as being "thick as a F'n brick". So here's my confusion....I get the trip 'A' routine...I was doing it half right as usual. I though the directions stated to hold display button on steering wheel while turning ignition back on...nope its the od stick coming through right corner of dash crystal (faceplate). So now that solves half of my confusion. The touch screen app for maintenance, doesn't that serve the same purpose? You can manually enter data that you determine when (miles) next filter change, oil change, tire rotation ....etc should be performed? I knew someday all those beer keggers in college would catch up to me.......:homer:

Update 9/12/2021; I think the reason why this method didn't seem to work....I changed oil ahead of maintenance indicator....so maybe when this message would appear this method would work to clear it. However the trip'A' reading did not reset to 00000 which I presumed should've happened regardless if maintenance indicator was present or not.

I don't know...at least he showed the process. Maybe a 'horrible' video is better than none...?
