I'm seeing a bunch of 5th gen trd roof racks on Facebook marketplace around $300-$400. Since I'm not willing to spend upwards of 1000 bucks on a gobi or prinsu roof rack, I was wondering if it is even possible to fit a 5th gen roof rack on a 3rd gen 4runner. Thanks

Anything is possible. I would doubt you have a chance of a direct bolt on and you'd have to get into the cost to customize added on top of the price of the rack, know what you plan on using it for and what it needs to be able to do/hold to make a decision if it's actually worth it or not. Also there's a big difference between a Gobi or a Prinsu. Although neither were on my short list.

    Just make your own.

Otherwise, inflation will only continue as cost of raw materials only goes up. Kind of late in the game to "accessorize" your 4Runner if you want to be frugal about it.
