Hi all - long time reader, now a first time poster.

As I am continuing to keep my truck running with plenty of help from this forum, I am starting to worry about the driver side door check in the front. I have replaced the door check mechanism before without problems (using #68620-35020 Door Check Assembly), but have now noticed that the metal frame of the door (where the two m6 nuts are fastened) has started to crack.

I would like to reinforce that spot using a metal plate, and I know they make them for Land Cruisers, e.g.

but could not find a part for the 4runner.

I have no meaningful access to any metal fabrication so would be very grateful if someone can point me towards a source of these compatible with the 4th gen runner.
