I have a 1991 4x4 4 runner with a 3.0 liter v6 and manual transmission. I had a remanufactured egnine installed in December of last year. When I got it back the check engine light was on and giving a knock sensor code. The mechanic didn’t change it. My son has been driving it for the last 2 months and on the way home it just died and wouldn’t start back. Towed it home and checked fuel and it’s getting fuel but no spark. I changed the coil and the ignition control module and I still don’t have any spark coming from coil wire when turned over. I checked all the fuses. Anyone has any suggestions?

Yes and I did some more research now I have figured out, the rotor on the distributor is not turning when the engine is cranking. I suspect a broken timing belt which is only 2.5 months old or the distributor is broken which I didn’t replace when I replaced engine. Any reasons why this would happen?
