On the Drivers side, it appears the vavle cover is leaking onto the exh manifold, which makes smoke, which might explain why there are never any mosquitos under the hood. Is this a common problem ? It really only needs one side done, but, I got an estimate, about $300 IIRC. I hate to open up the engine as they might get dirt in it. How long would this take if I did it ? Any backyard mechanics in the Cookeville TN area ?

I paid the dealer to do it. Like $400, then they still leaked. There's like little half moon gaskets they charged me another $400 to finish.:)
They did something to the exhaust too up at the manifold not sure.

Then you got the little O rings for the spark plug holes?

I did it in a few hours. Valve Cover Gaskets and Spark Plug O-Rings. I didn't do the half moons since they looked perfect.

A shop should be careful. Just ask them to use some removeable thread locker on the valve cover bolts which I wish I did do, so now I have to pull my intake to redo all the loose again bolts.
