Last Thursday I pulled into lot and went to park in front of another vehicle. I applied the brakes and they faded to the floor and I hit the vehicle in front. We have only owned the vehicle for a month. (Only driven it from 4 times). I open the hood and the checked brake fluid reservoir, it was full, no sign of leakage, I check each wheel and no sign of any leaks. As I was pulling up I was moving the stick shift from drive preparing to place the car in park when stopped. However that should not make a difference. Has anyone had a similar experience.

pedal to the floor is a master cylinder issue or a leak.
these do have a brake pump if the vehicle has a feel to a rapid stop that brake pump turns on and it locks up the brakes.. I had this pump turn on as I gradually increased the braking then that pump scared me , I then rapidly lifted the brake pedal to stop it..
yes some [very few] have had this brake pedal problem .. report it to the Toyota dealership .

Most likely brake calipers rust frozen that friction heat boils up brake fluid inside caliper(s).
