Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on any sort of forum but have been reading through a lot of the posts on here. I just recently purchased a 2000 4R Limited 2wd and plan on converting it to a 4x4, it’s a project I’m deadset on doing and understand what I’ll be getting myself into. It’s currently bone stock and am planning to do an offroad build with it. I am looking at getting a 3in lift kit but don’t know if I should wait on that till I do the 4x4 conversion or not. Was wondering if I could get any thoughts on that? I’m also planning to get bigger rotors, brakes and wheels either alongside the lift kit, or before it. The lifts I’ve been looking at have been the Bilstein 5100 with OME coils or KING 3in lift kit. I also saw some people posting about toytec lift kits but haven’t heard much about them to be honest. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated, Thank you!

Just do your conversion; in 4x4 with an experienced driver you will get far as these vehicles are much more capable than the people that own them.

As for a lift, do that whenever. A 4x2 and 4x4 can utilize the same suspension and can be installed quickly and easily without the conversion being in the way of anything.

Thank you, I appreciate that. Was wondering if you have a lift kit and if so which one is it and why?

I went with custom rear lower links, King 2.5 fronts, King 2.5 rears, OME 890 rear coils, ext travel cv axles, durobump stops, sonoran steel rear panhard bar and other shit off the top of my head

Probably about $4-5k of suspension stuff alone

I've answered the "what lift kit" many times; the information is still the same so a search will yield tons of results from me and other members still relevant
