3D printing of this part possible?

Question for our 3D printing friends:

Can this be duplicated, but in reverse? It's the cover for the backside of a 4Runner fog light. Toyota only puts one on the passenger side, this one. After doing a high clearance chop on our front bumper the driver's side is exposed and could use a cover like this one. For the attachment points to fit it needs to be flipped side to side. It also needs to be flexible like the original.

 

Alittle off subject..anyone know why that cover is needed on passenger side but not drivers? Just curious, thanks

 

We've wondered that too. Maybe it's because of the air intake being right there.

 

If you go above that point where that should is on the passenger side is you will notice that directly above it is the reservoir for the washer fluid, power steering & antifreeze overflow cap. I imagine that is only there to prevent these fluids from getting to the fog light & shorting that one out.
That being said. You could probably cut your current one so that it could not be seen. You could also fabricate a deflector for the passengers side to prevent any over fill or expansion due to a failure.
I personally see no reason to duplicate it on the drivers side. There is honestly no point.
Or am I missing something else?

 

That makes sense.

After we cut our front bumper to gain ground clearance we no longer have an inner fender in front. The foglight is vulnerable to damage now.
