Hey guys, this is my first build. I'm building a 1990 4runner v6 manual. Or it was a v6. I ripped out the 3.slow and decided to build a 2rz and put it in there. I plan on making around 28lbs psi of boost. After I get the motor done I have some dana 44's I plan on throwing under there, along with some 35's. I might upgrade to a 14 bolt or ford 9 bolt in the rear and put on some 37s in the future. I plan on doing a 4link set up with 12 in coils in the front and chevy 63's in the rear. I was thinking about either buying some adapter plates, or buying an ax15 and making a love child with my r150 in order to mate a dana 300 tcase. I get the feeling even the gear driven tcases won't like over 400 hp with 35s.
I started by buying a 2tr bellhousing off of facebook marketplace for $100 up in Washington. As I was coming home I my brother sent me a deal, someone selling a block that had all the machine work done, an assembled head (minus the valve cover), pistons and a balanced crankshaft. I picked that up for $1000 on my way home. The motor sat for awhile because I had to accumulate money.
About a month ago I started ordering parts. I got my connecting rods the bottom end to a local machinist. I had went to the wrecking yard and bought a timing cover, found a COP style valve cover on FB marketplace for $200. I installed my head, waiting to put on the valve cover, waiting on an oil jet from the dealership. Its been pretty hard to figure out which things I need because I've had to piece this motor together from a bare block basically, but I think I've gotten everything.
The 4runner I picked up was a total piece of shit. The interior was all molded over and half assed rattle canned. I replaced all the interior out of a wrecked donor rig, now its pristine.
    Here's some pictures

I will work on getting some more, specifically of the truck and maybe some more of the motor.
Feel free to ask any questions, I'm always happy to talk about my project
