    Lift kit 2,5" + 2", spacers 1,5", V-cut
My 2024 4Runner has a 2.5" lift in the front, 1.5" in the rear, 1.5" spacers, and a V-cut on the bumper. I know the 285/70/17 fits, but I'm really considering going with 295s — I’d use the same wheels. Do I need to do anything else to my truck? Besides the extra gas usage, is there anything else I should expect? I really love how it would look.

I mean the difference in tire size is .6" diameter and .4" of width. If you're gonna do it do it and go to 305's with a fender liner mod and BMC.

The problem with this option is that there are only a handful of tires available in this size.

Plus, at 295/70/17 you are already pushing it without a regear.

    TRUTH FACT EXACTLY

    I recently went from 285/70 to 255/80
I was gonna do 34s but as mentioned
If I’m gonna do that, “go big or go home”
At least in the sense of make it worth while n do it the right way…
I don’t mean just throw on the biggest this n that…a set up that compliments each part n works “well” with what you aim to do

my goal is to get back out west
    Ain’t happening tomorrow

so I chose the more reasonable route…for now

So does it drive better with the 255/80s than it did with the 285/70s?

    Which tire?

I'm pretty happy with my Yokohamas. And I have seen a few other good options in 295/70/17.

But, the pickin's are pretty slim in 305.

I'm always curious to hear which tires people have been happy with. From what I've read and observed over the last couple of years, there are a handful of tires and tire manufacturers that seem to consistently satisfy their customers. And, even within them, there are always a handful of horror stories.

    Don’t have sufficient miles yet
Some actual trips coming up so obviously excited
At first, there was a placebo effect that actually, with the new UCAs/alignment/no more spacers, has turned into reality
Said effect=it didn’t feel as heavy or wide/turns easier

even though these tires are actually heavier than the 285 KO2s I had
Went with wrangler duratrac rt. ??? New ones haha, which have a more aggressive tread n drive quite smooth overall

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T, so far it's the only tire that I've run that doesn't seem to have some negative amongst the positives.

Agree....but..but..it does make a bit more noise than others. However, it is super capable offroad.

I keep hearing good things about those. I have been eyeballing them myself. I'm just not sure which set of tires to replace with them, lol.

I currently run Toyo AT3's in the winter and Yokohama muds in the summer. I really don't have any complaints about either of these tires. But, those Mickeys look so good!

I have also considered a set of the Baja boss muds when the Yokohamas wear out. But, it would just be for the sake of trying something different, as I have no complaints about the Yokohama's.

I dunno, mine are dead quiet. But, my job has me around firearms, helicopters, and ships all day. I also
commute on a 1000cc sport bike. With those things considered I wouldn't trust any opinion I have when noise is considered.

I definitely see that. My previous set of Falkens were great. So we're the Toyo's (back when they were just called the AT's), the Coopers, etc. It seems however the Mickey's just do everything so dang well. Ive had them at OBX and in the winters of the PNW and they haven't disappointed. They're also wearing amazingly since I got them, even being P rated.

Thanks for the info, looking forward to the update when she gets the miles on it. I really want to do a 255/80 on mine. Once I get around to installing the lift, I'm going to need tires shortly. Like you said, most of the options in that size are heavy, the lightest I found are the Toyo 83 at 50 lb, but that's not necessarily the tire I want to run. I do like the look of those new Duratracs, those are a contender as well.
