Just ordered a Dobinson 2 inch lift for my 08 4 runner, trying to decide which tire would be a better fit 275 70 17, or 285 70 17.

You may have to do some trimming with the 285’s, and move the liner forward a little.oh and welcome to the forum.

other than removing the mud flaps, would I need to cut into anything or trim, with the 285s ?

Oh, you have a 4th gen. I thought you had a 5th gen. My bad.

Not sure what you'll need to do with a 4th gen.

I just put in a 2” suspension lift and I’m gonna do 275s after much debating.

Lots with more in the works
These are 285/70/17 with Tacoma TRD Off Road suspension and a 1" body lift. Very little rubbing, mainly offroad.

This is 2” with Falken 275 70 R17. Would like to get rims eventually, but as far as performance off road and on the highway, I’m very happy with it! No body chopping or trimming necessary. Rims are next :)
