    Hello, All!
After the upcoming LC 250 was revealed, I put a deposit down to secure a spot on a dealer list for the new Land Cruiser. After the details, base pricing, and MPG numbers were published, I thought long and hard about my decision, but eventually decided the last of the bulletproof 4.0 / 5-speed 5th gen was my best option. I pulled the trigger.
My garage still houses my '06 with 230k on it. The '24 will be my daily driver for the next couple of years.

Stock wheels and tires for now. I have been scrolling the menus and noted that my tire pressures are at 32-34psi.
This one is going to be a slow burn.
I did tint all the windows today, however.

What specifically don't you like about the LC? I just saw one recently and it looked really nice. I'm still waiting on performance reviews.

I am sure the LC 250 will be great, just not great for me right now. I put the deposit down when it was announced. When the details, base price, hybrid package, and possible MPG were revealed I started to lose interest. I didn't want to spend $70-$75k for a hybrid that only got 23 mpg. I like to drive off road from time to time, I don't live in the snow, and I realized the current and previous 4Rs do everything I need. After much thought and internet research, I decided to go with the last of the 4.0's and not worry about potential first-year LC blues.
To each their own, and I am sure most LC buyers will be very happy with their ownership.
I hope you get one and report back with undying love and accolades, 4runningMan!

Ha I am gonna go the same route as you and get another 5th gen before they're done with them! Its such a perfect vehicle for my particular needs and I'm not liking the looks of the tumble second row seats in the 6th gen at all... and am not interested in the turbo hybrid in the LC.

I'm confident the 5th gen will still be just fine in 10 years. The newer options I'm not so sure about.

I’m in total agreement with you. I put a deposit on a LC250 last summer, however the more I learned the more hesitant I became. I bought a 24 TRD ORP in January. For the $20k price difference I can buy a lot of fuel. My 4R averages close to 20mpg anyway. I also want to wait and see how the new drivetrain holds up on the LC. The cargo capacity on the 5G 4R is much larger as well.

I do think someday I’ll end up with a new Land Cruiser, but I hope to never part with my Solar Octane 4Runner.

$20k is a lot of fuel. Years of fuel. And more years of longevity on the far end is $$$ in the pocket. I'm not a greenie, but I also suspect the more years of longevity is likely "greener" in the long run as well, all things considered.
