The company I work for has put in an order for a new 2025 Tacoma for me. Since it is a 2025 I don’t know how long it will be to get it. I am happy that I will get to try the drivetrain of the new 4runner without me having to buy one. I have a 2007 and a 2024 4runner that I love. I bought the 2024 to get the last of the V6’s. I like the look of the 6th gen but I am a little concerned about the drivetrain.

Can anyone put in orders for a 2025 or is it just a company thing? Do they know anything about pricing that they can pass on to you?

Our company uses a lease company, so we tell them what we want then they send an order confirmation. This truck show to be a 2025 and I do not have the exact number but it was around $36500.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the drivetrain. I've watched a lot of reviews, and everyone has been positive on the new drivetrain.

*Overviews… reviews imply they have long term first hand experience with it. Which no one really has. Reading the manual is a product overview. Youtubers dont know the difference..

No, reviews do not typically denote long term experience. Even "long term" reviews are typically only 40k miles.

Not once have I seen a reviewer pine for the old V6. The new drivetrain has been receiving a lot of praise for power delivery and performance. Unfortunately it's going to be a decade before we know the long term reliability, but initial driving impressions have been good.

With 12-15k average annual mileage, 40k miles is around 3 years. Id say thats a long term review. Most of these “review” youtubers get a press car, drive it around the parking lot and then read the manual to a camera. Thats not a review. Its a product overview

I was told last week they are most likely not get a 2025. The order banks are not open for a while. The lease company is going to source one from a dealer.
