I have read Antman's thread on using the factory fog switch and a new relay to enable the fogs to come on at any time. Doing more research I'm getting conflicting answers as to whether the fog switch wires have changed.

Has anyone with a 2020+ 4Runner done this mod successfully? Were the connections as described in Antman's thread?

I'm not interested in a brite box or any method that doesn't use the factory fog switch on the stalk.

its beyond annoying that we cannot run fogs without headlights.

It really is, and especially annoying that Toyota put all these relays inside the ECU.

@Yossarian what is the intended functionality? I may have an idea for a solution. I only have Limiteds so not familiar with the stalk switch for your trim. Do you have a DRL position?

@Kezin yep, we do. The fog switch is a ring inboard of the headlight/DRL switch.

I'd like to be able to turn the fogs on any time the vehicle is on.

I could help you have them on whenever the DRLs are on or the fog light switch is on. You wouldn't be able to have DRLs without fog lights though

I appreciate it, but that wouldn't turn them on with the high beams, or all by themselves.

There should be a pair of wires in the steering column that connect to the factory fog switch. On pre-2020, they're brown and black. I'm trying to figure out if they're the same on 2020+ models.

If I take the steering column apart and figure it out, I'll post it here.

Fog lights are designed to be used by themselves
    Otherwise useless
