    HI,

NEW MEMBER HERE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2023 4RUNNER TRD PRO ON OCTOBER 10,2023. DURING THE TEST DRIVE, THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING, TREMENDOUSLY. BASICALLY, IT NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. THE DEALERSHIP QUICKLY PERFORMED THE ALIGNMENT; HOWEVER, IT STILL SEEMS TO MOVE TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE WHEEL IS STRAIGHT. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 6 MILES. SHOULD AN ALIGNMENT CHECK BE PERFORMED ONCE THE VEHICLE REACHES THE DEALERSHIP?

SECONDLY, WHAT'S UP WITH THE CHEESY VINYL FLAP BEHIND THE STEERIN WHEEL? YOU CAN EASILY SEE BEHIND IT. I CAN SEE SCREWS AND CABLES BEHIND THIS VINYL FLAP? I BELIEVE SMALL ITEMS COULD EASILY SLIP BEHIND THIS VINYL FLAP. IS THIS FLAP NORMAL?

new car shakes are tires flat spot from long parking. dealer usually gives color printout of alignment. try to rip-off darn vinyl if it make you happy. or better just buy another car, preferably ford bronco or chevy tahoe. you gonna be happier.

With my experience and the information I got Issues like alignment and wheel balance can be expected with TRD Pro as lot of parts assembled in USA vs other trims fully build in Japan (unless you buy regional packages).

I paid my own money to a shop of my choice for wheel alignment and wheel balance. Life is good afterwards.

Shortly after, since the factory tires are not that good has no 3PMSF rating and has non matching spare tire on the TRD Pros I purchased 5 tires of my choice.

Check your tire pressure. Since the OEM tires have a thinner side walls, dealers pump up air , upto 50psi .
Then find a tire shop of your choice and get an alignment and balancing done.
It should take care of most things but there would still be some pulling, that's the nature of the 4runner.
I have no idea about what vinyl flap you talking about.
Also, typing everything in uppercase means you shouting. Switch to lowercase.

4R does not pull. Mine went straight with stockers and after lift/tire change. Don't let anyone tell you it should pull a little.

The vinyl is just there to hide stuff but not be stiff plastic. Guess to look "nicer"

My 4runner does pull to the right. And I know 10 more people that have a similar experience. My alignment is good, balance is good and I have no uneven tire wear. I also do not run oem tires.

If you guys want to live with it up to you.

I'm just saying it not impossible to make it track straight and I had 0 issues making it track straight.

about vinyl: on steering column it is not visible, if steering column completely moved forward. CAP LOCK GUY NEED TO DISCOVER STEERING COLUMN ADJUSTMENT LATCH. newbie: "SHAKING, TREMENDOUSLY. BASICALLY, IT NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT"

Our Rav4 destroyed the factory tires in 26k miles, because the alignment was off from factory, or so I believe. I never thought that would be an issue, but my shop said it’s common for new vehicles to need an alignment.

I did not know OEM tires have a thinner side wall. I know the compounds are typically softer to make the test drive better, but find it hard to fathom the sidewalls being thinner, I would think that would be dangerous and create some safety issues.

Tires come from factory pumped up to help avoid flat spots during transport. The dealership is supposed to reduce the psi to operating level.
