    Hey guys!

Why only 0 and -10 offset on the 17" wheel and not a +10 or +12 option for those that want to minimize the chances for rubbing? The choices in the aftermarket for 8" or 8.5" wide wheels with those offsets are pretty much slim and none.

    Thanks for your comment!

Our last few releases were all 0mm Offset, which works out perfectly for Tacomas and 4Runners. No rubbing on stock suspension. We've gotten excellent response from these sizes/specs, and there aren't many other companies offering Replicas in these specs. Especially with a deeper concavity profile and Flow Forged Construction. The -10mm is for those who are installing lifts/levels and are looking for something slightly more aggressive.

Try and put a Falken Wildpeak on a stock suspension 4R using 17x8.5 with 0 offset wheels and there would be a high probability of rubbing even with the stock 265/70R17s. There are quite a few examples of rubbing on this forum depending of what tire is used.

I can certainly understand your concern with the possibility of rubbing.

Many of our customers have installed our 17x8.5 0mm Offset wheels and 265/70R17s on their 4Runners with no issues. That's why we chose to continue going with these sizes and specs. It gives Tacomas and 4Runners a great looking stance.

You can see a few examples from our customers in one of our previous threads:

Liking that red/black. Can you edit the first post and add color labels for each wheel?

Hey Dustin! I’ve been looking to replace my grossly heavy method mr704’s after one got terribly mangled in an unfortunate situation. This group buy is exactly what I was looking for. My only concern is many competitors like FN wheels (who’s owner is coincidentally also named Dustin as far as I know) offer similar weight wheels with max loads exceeding 2100lbs. Do we know how the ~1800lb max load compares to the OEM trd pro wheels?

Thanks for your comment! I did not know that! Pretty funny coincidence.

So, when we are designing the wheels and considering the weight of the wheel itself while maximizing it's max load capacity: we usually go off the Gross Vehicle Weight of the largest vehicle that a manufacturer makes (which is the weight of the vehicle fully loaded up with cargo and passengers). So our example would be like a Sequoia, and the gross vehicle weight for that is 7,300 lbs. So we make the wheels exceed max load for the Sequoia to make sure we cover everything. The Tacoma Fully Loaded up is 5,600 lbs (Gross) & a 4Runner Fully Loaded up is 6,300 Lbs (Gross), Max Load on our Wheels is 7,492 lbs (1873 lbs x4). Which still greatly exceeds the Gross Vehicle weight of either of these vehicles that our wheels are made to go on. We use Flow Forged Construction to keep the wheel very strong while making it as light as possible while still far exceeding the Gross Vehicle Weight. Hope that wasn't too long winded. Lol

But we have never had an issue with the Max Load on our wheels or any issue with safety regarding it.

    Hey Dustin!

Just following up again, as it may be a possibility that i'll need to have all 5 wheels sooner than later i was looking at the 2021 style wheels (F249) versus the 2022 (F266). How is it that two different 17x8.5" rims both with 0mm offset can have different backspacing?

the 2021 style is advertised at 17x8.5" with 4.75" backspacing at 0mm offset and 4.36" backspacing at -10mm offset. However the new 2022 tac pro style is advertised at 4.5" backspacing and 4.11" backspacing for the same 0 and -10mm offsets. i'm not sure what i'm missing? the measurements for the 2022 seem more consistent with a 17x8" rim with 0 and -10mm offset.

Hey! Thanks for pointing this out. It was a mistake on my part. I typed in the wrong numbers. The offsets/backspacing match that of the 2021 style.

    0mm = 4.75”
    -10mm = 4.36”

Sorry for any confusion with that. I will update the thread.

    Thanks for posting your question!

This Group Buy is just for the New 22 Tac Pro Wheels.

However, if you are interested in the 4TR Wheels, you can always use this code for a 6% Discount.

    Hey @Goob ,

I sent out all the invoices on Friday, and a few people have said they didn't get them. Can you please check your spam/junk folder and see if it's in there?

A couple people from Tacoma World told me they found it there.

If not, let me know and I will figure out another way to get it to you.

Hey! I was out of town for 5 days and just got back in.

I see that your invoice is paid and you are good to go. I can send you a receipt if you like.

Also, I just got confirmation that both the 2022 Tac Pro 16s and 17s will be arriving on Thursday May 19th. In 2 days.

    Hey Bryan!

The 6% Code is good for that style, and they are currently in stock.

The Magnetic Grey on the 4Runner is a much darker color than our Gunmetal finish.

You can kind of see here how light they are here:

    Dustin,

Do you have any pictures and/or comments on a 4runner with the 20x9 wheels? 2022 or 2021 style preferably. Also, which offset will get fender alignment with the 20x9,s. I have a MAG LMT T4R with a Eibach Pro lift. I appreciate any feedback and photos.

^^^ I'd love to see that as well, more so if you have f159 on a mgm 4runner. Since I'm going to a heavier tire, I want to run a lighter wheel.

The lack of a normal evacuation kit left us helpless. Now in the list of necessary purchases - a sling, an ax, something like chains for wheels. I have already bought a couple of clamps from https://sandfieldengineering.com/what-we-do/clamps-holding/toggle-clamps/. Half the problem is solved, so I'll throw them in the trunk to be ready for anything. The TRD Pro wheels are especially good, and I'll probably have two sets for the summer. Are you still taking orders? I'd like Black Milled.
