    Morning all

Brand new 2022. Was detailing it and the Shark Fin is definitely not sealed, there is a small gap I could fit a penny in and I saw some water around the edge on the inside. I did a search on the forum and didnt see a post. So either it is designed this way and it's not a problem, or I need to seal it?

    Thanks in advance!

Unless it’s damage from something hitting it, it’s under warranty, have them look at it.

I noticed that the edge could be lifted when I was wrapping my roof. Since mine has not leaked in two years, I would assume that it is sealed at the hole with a grommet and not along the perimeter of the plastic base.

It does have a grommet on it and being raised a little is normal as I can fit a penny under mine as well, it’s not difficult to take it off, run a bead of silicone, and reinstall it. I had my roof wrapped and did this just as a precaution.
