2022 4RUNNER Black Package

ORP just hit port of Portland. It includes package code 84. 4RUNNER Black Package (not blackout package found in the gulf states). Nobody can tell me what's included, not even a Toyota Brand Engagement . Package MSRP is $2,390. Toyota also offers package code 85. 4RUNNER Bronze Package MSRP $2,590.

Anybody out there that can shed any light on all that's included??

 

It’s probably black trd pro wheels and at tires. That’s about what they charge in the SE for it.

 

My '20 included blacked out badges all around, TRD wheels and crappy Duratracs, and black tube steps that I ripped off 30 minutes after I got home. Texas. I paid a bit over $1K for it.

 

This looks similar to the Venture - Package Black that is referenced on my build sheet for $2390. I do not have a copy of the window sticker. Mine is due in port end of May.

It says it includes: Yakima-Megawarrior, Black Pro Wheel, Center Cap, Roof Rack Cross Bars, TRD Front Skid Plate, Black Chrome Lug Nuts, Black PVD Wheel locks.

I also can't seem to find any 2022 4Runners anywhere with this package installed but I've been waiting 6 months for my order so I'll take it however it comes.

 

Another stealership rip off. My 4Runner came with carpet and all-weather mats that I had to pay for!

so i had the now defunct XP predator package on my 22 SR5 Premium from the factory and port... but they were out ofthe black trd wheels and cut me a 1k discount (plus the stupid chrome bars on the upper grille were left chrome .. thanks Amazon for the black covers.. )... needless to say if you really dont want the blackout package and wheels then either sell them once you get it home or just find something else... ill buy your black trd wheels if you do get the package and dont want them... im still on back order from three dealerships for the black wheels ...

also that desciption for running boards doesnt make much sense... are they the generic running boards or something else? mine specifically said predator tubes.. or something like that..

 

Thanks for that attachment. Seems to match what I'm finding online. Did you select this option or was this build simply allocated to your dealership? I'm curious because my dealership can't tell me what's included in this package and it's not listed anywhere on the documentation.

Truck was just assigned to dealer inventory and should be to us in 1 to 3 weeks depending on availability of option parts at Port.

 

I just have a good dealer, mine came with all weather Mats I didn’t want or order and they took the price off the sale! I wanted the carpet ones though.

 

I've been waiting on a Lunar Rock ORP and this is the build that matched the color and trim I was looking for so the dealer asked if I wanted it and sent me the build sheet. I did not specifically order the black package as you can't really order it as far as I understand. That is decided at the factory. I did tell my dealer I was interested in the Black Pro Wheel option which is normally $1340 so the fact that these appear to be included is a positive for me. Ultimately, I care about getting the LR color and ORP trim and some extra items and another $1000 doesn't really matter that much when the vehicle is $48k.

Why not just buy from an online site? I got mine from Bam Wholesale for $960 shipped with the center caps.

I did have it backordered from BAM .. since october 2021 and cancelled my order in february and at this point considering aftermarket wheels because im gonna lift mine anyways and will use bigger tires that would need a 9" width or larger rim

 

That’s interesting because I bought mine from them in February. I bought the new version of the trd pro wheels though. I asked them before I ordered and they confirmed in stock.

 

Finally got our truck after an 8 month wait. Paid MSRP. Super happy about that. Now we need rock sliders and maybe new Bilsteins to level her out.

 

Circling back here, I finally took delivery of my ORP which came with the Venture Black package. It took about 6+ months from deposit to delivery.

 

Weird. I thought the Venture package came with black door handles, black valences, and TRD Pro grille. Maybe not for 22?

 

My '22 w/Venture Black pkg came with larger Yakima basket, TRD wheels, Dunlop AT tires (joke ), blackout emblems and TRD skid plate.

 

The wheel package has gone up $550 and the base MSRP has gone up $800 since January.

 

Yep, I noticed this as well when my final price on the window sticker was $550 higher on that package than the screenshot I had above from a couple months earlier.

 

The Venture was an actual trim level for 1 year I believe. The 22 venture package is probably either a regional or dealer package.

 

In Gulf States region, they do not offer the Venture Black Package. I went with the TRD Off-Road upgrade pkg. Comes with TRD Pro wheels,Nittro Terra Grappler tiles, Trail Rails, all-weather mats, black out all emblems, black exhaust tip. Package cost here is $2,995.
