2021 map light

switched over to leds today and now map light on drivers side will come on but flicker and go off like the switch is working but not clicking anybody replace that switch?

 

It’s been my observation on other threads that LED conversions have about a 50/50 chance of being successful. It may depend on the brand used?

 

I have cheap Amazon LEDs on my 4Runners and so far luck is on my side.

Could be a bad bulb causing it? If your set has more T10 LED bulbs you could swap and check?

 

did a swap of another bulb and it does the same. a little background when i installed the first led bulb i turned it and it turned out of the socket and fell behind console so i took it down retrieved the little socket reinstalled and its been doing this ever since. i think i need a new socket.

 

I switched out my 22's map lights to red led from Diode and have no problems. I would consider the socket before I did anything else. Does the bulb fit secure, or is it a little loose?

 

Did you try flipping the bulb around 180°? Some of them are directional.

 

yes the bulb does light but the switch doesnt seem to "click" like the other one; if i hold it in a neutral position it will light i think its the switch but finding one might be a challenge!
