We are in the middle of a pretty big snow storm and I took out my Pro in the snow for the first time today. I have a set of dedicated winter wheels/snow tires and in 2H with some decent throttle I could feel and see the traction control light flashing. However, in 4H it never intervened despite some pretty heavy throttle. I was out in the middle of nowhere just getting a feel for everything. So my question is, does the standard traction control operate in 4H? Just to see I pressed the traction control button while in 4H and the "Trac off" light came on in the dash but I didn't notice any difference having the traction in off mode and back on.
Also, should I be using A-trac in the snow in 4H or is it better to just go as is?

Sounds like you had enough traction to not trigger traction control when in 4wd. ATRAC only works in low range so that won't do you any good.

I’ve driven in the snow in 4H and the traction control rarely activates. But in 2wd it doesn’t take much to activate if even one wheel drives over a slick spot.

MTS is available in 4H. I had a little trouble going up a hill and turned on MTS in 4H to the low setting (mud, sand) and it def helped. Wish the truck had a rear LSD.

Really miss having a rally car with rear bias tq split and an LSD. Until it gets deep...
