Just Picked up my 4runner the other day, only 150 miles on her.
There looks to be an issue with the entertainment center.
Maps- will auto mark a destination with out touching the screen. I do not even have maps up on the screen. And it will automatically open maps, then mark as a favorite
I have the home screen set. And the screen will go to menus. then maps.
I'll have just the radio on and the preset channels will automatically switch.

    Is there something I'm missing?
Traded in a 2019 Honda Passport due to all the issues I was having with that POS.

Any help will be grateful. Thanks to all in advance.

I haven't had any trouble with mine. You should take it to the dealership and get them to fix it. They may just need to re-load the software.

    Pinscar, thanks for the reply.
Yuup brought to dealer. They did a software update. Happened again. Reset the head unit. Drove away, acted up.
They're ordering a new head unit. I'm being told it could be refurbished. I mentioned to them to push for a new one.
Not even a week of ownership, and it's being repaired.

Yikes, that's disappointing to hear. I would also push for a new one. They sold you a new defective head unit, so the least they could do is replace it with a new working unit!

Don't let the infotainment issues cause you dismay. The 5th gen has had all kinds of issues with the nav and BT, but beyond that, it's a super solid truck. You know what I do when mine starts doing weird shit? Turn it off and go drive up a mountain and look out the windows.

Taking it to the dealer under warranty is really the only option if you want it fixed though.

I purchased my 2020 in the middle of the Apple CarPlay debacle and it didn't work correctly for months. Thankfully they have resolved that issue. As annoying as the issues you're having now are, i'm sure they'll get it rectified quickly.

Whatever radio they get...new or used bring a bright LED flashlight and look at the screen both before and after the install. The screens scratch very easily, even with touch if a finger. Look at all angles with the light, sometimes they are hard to see.
I heard about this before I bought and the one I wanted had scratches from the get go. They found one on the lot and switched decks. I inspected before and it was mint. Didn't think to look afterwards, they scratched it during the install!
At minimum buy a screen protector!

So far I have been lucky on my 2020 Pro. Put screen protector on it. Used Apple car play numerous times and Navigation. All good.
