does this annoy any of you new 2020 owners,

    1. Car is on, Make a phone call via bluetooth or carplay, press push start to turn engine off, but however it turns off the Whole car including the radio. It does not go to accessory mode.

    2. when turning off your car and open the door it dings, however if you immediately close your door and then open your door again it doesn't ding. Or if you lock and then unlock it does not ding. the only time it dings is when you turn off car then open door. ( sounds dumb but the dinging is annoying). It doesnt make sense as to why its dinging. i bet your asking maybe his lights are on. Yes my lights are off. LOL.

I wonder if its programmable. Anyone have useful any info?

I am also annoyed with the phone thing. In my wife's car, when I turn off the engine, my call stays connected to the car, unless I open the door and get out. The dinging also annoys me, but what really bothers me, is that I cannot shut it off.

One other, small thing that annoys me, is that on the left stick the headlight markers are not illuminated. You have to shine a light to see what your are selecting like, DRL, parking lights, headlights

Other than these few things, I love my 2020 ORP!

I hate the door chime myself. I reach down and hit the button on the door jam to end it.

It seems like Toyota's cruise control is just annoying altogether. It's like they forgot how to make it work properly.

Don't use adaptive CC. Just bypass when turning on.

So, you press Start to shut if off? Do you have to park in driveways and drive on parkways too? My keyed '19 is annoyance free! :yay:

Doesn't the door ding if you leave the keys in the ignition only? Take them out.

I have an Android phone. Sometimes I like to still be on the phone in the car, with the ignition off.

The odd thing is that mine does not chime every time I stop and get out. Only sometimes and I have yet to figure out what makes it happen.

It can probably be programmed to stop by the dealer or if you had the app (forget the name.) Don't positively know just guessing...

Easy as pie to paint. Reach behind the grill and there are two screws at either end holding each one on. Yank 'em, paint 'em, and put them back on. Did that the third day I owned my '20.

Carista can change the programming on the ding and a bunch of other things. Not sure if it will do everything it can do on a pre-2020 since the 2020 has some newer whiz-bangs.

I'm on Android also. Turn off the runner and audio automatically switches to the phone without issue nor dropped call. Android 10, not sure of it matters

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Next time I'm in the dealer, going to ask them to turn off the seat belt dinger. That thing is annoying.

I reread my book about the annoying chiming when turning car off. Book says if you open door before shutting off it will chime. Maybe I have been doing that so will pay attention next time.

Edit: Just ran out and tested. Yes, annoying chimes if you open door before shutting off. Turn off first, then open door, no chimes.

I used to feel the same way, I went so far as put the belt behind my back etc.
Mom worked in an er room and showed me a scrap book they kept of car accident peeps without a belt.
Been using it ever since and no more belt dinger

You must be nuts to think your dealer will do that. Just put your belt on.
